The Senate yesterday approved the $42.8 billion FY10 Homeland Security conference report, which includes a three-year extension of E-Verify and $137 million to operate the system and further improve its accuracy and compliance rates.
The bill now goes to President Obama to be signed. The House approved the bill last week by a 307-114 margin.
