If you love great beef and fine wine, Northern California was the place to be recently when Sonoma played host to the 2009 National Beef Cook-Off, managed by the American National Cattlewomen and funded in part by the beef checkoff. The Cook-Off delivers instant excitement; but the real value for beef producers is long-term.
