Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 1:10 PM
Today’s Reported Sales Volume: 16,000
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 25,000
Trading is moderate in Kansas on moderate to good demand. Compared to
last week, live sales are 1.50 to 2.50 higher at 87.00. Trading is light in
the Texas Panhandle. Few live sales have traded 1.00 higher at 87.00 with
many producers continuing to pass bids. Trading remains inactive in Nebraska.
Trading is light in Colorado with live sales 2.00 higher than last week at
87.00.
Note: prices are based on net weights FOB the feedlot after a 3-4% shrink
unless otherwise noted. Dressed prices based on hot carcass weights delivered
to the plant.

Daily Direct Slaughter Cattle Negotiated Purchases Reports as base prices
and again on the National Daily Direct Slaughter Cattle Formula Purchases
Reports as net prices.
Included in this report are negotiated cash and negotiated grid prices
and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
