Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:30 PM
Today’s Reported Sales Volume: None
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: None
Trading was inactive in all feeding regions Tuesday. Moderate buyer inquiry was
noted in most trade regions. Tuesday afternoon boxed beef cutout values firm on light
demand and offerings. Select and Choice ribs higher, while chuck, round and loin
cuts generally steady. Choice cutout closed up .22 at 141.85 and Select up .63 at
136.46 with 200 total loads sold. Estimated cattle slaughter for Tuesday was reported
at 125,000. The hide and offal value from a typical slaughter steer for today was
estimated at 8.46 per cwt live, up 0.02 when compared to Monday's value.
Note: prices are based on net weights FOB the feedlot after a 3-4% shrink
unless otherwise noted. Dressed prices based on hot carcass weights delivered
to the plant.

and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
