Daily National Grain Market Summary
Grains rallied sharply as funds were strong buyers. Support came from losses
in the dollar, sharp gains in crude oil and the wet weather, as wet conditions
throughout the Midwest are delaying harvest. Wheat had export sales below
expectations at 347,700 tonnes for current marketing year and 18,000 for next
year. Corn had export sales well below expectations at 367,200 tonnes. Soybean
exports were above trade expectations at 691,000 tonnes. Wheat closed 6-14
cents higher. Corn traded 8-11 cents higher. Soybeans closed mostly 14-17
cents higher.
