Daily National Grain Market Summary
Grain and soybean bids continue to decline closing moderate to sharply lower.
Wheat was pressured by favorable planting weather. Weekly export sales for
wheat were below the low end of trade expectations coming in at 284,500 tonnes
which added additional pressure to the market. Corn and soybean bids took
another hit as weather looks dry until later next week. Farmers are in full
swing taking advantage of the clear window. It’s been a wet harvest season and
a lot of high moisture crop reported. Weekly export sales for corn were near
the high end of trade expectations coming in at a total of 571,200 and soybeans
at 524,900 tonnes which were in line with estimates. Wheat was mostly 7-14
cents lower. Corn was 7-13 cents lower. Sorghum was 13 cents lower. Soybeans
were 25-35 cents lower.
