TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance
DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
The market tone on 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms was steady to fully
steady. Demand on frozen whole turkeys was light to moderate with most
interest noted for hens. Light trading was reported for fill-in basis.
Offerings of frozen whole turkeys were short for hens and mixed for toms
short to adequate. Fresh hens and toms were short to light. The market
tone on tom bulk parts was steady to fully steady. Demand was light to
moderate, instances good for full-cut wings. Offerings short to adequate.
The trade sentiment for white meat was mostly steady. Offerings light to
fully adequate. The market tone on thigh meat was fully steady to firm.
Inquiry was moderate to good. Offerings short to light. Trading was slow.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Trading centered on light volumes of thigh meat and V-type wings, balance
slow. Demand was light to moderate. Offerings short to adequate.
