The Virginia Quality Assured Program recently completed its 13th season
as a value-added marketing options for cow-calf producers. This added
value is the result of several factors, including program standards for
animal health, genetics, and best management practices.

South Dakota State University researchers examined the cause of a
scours epidemic in one spring calving herd back in 2000. Results of the
retrospective, record-based investigation suggested that introduction
of foster calves was associated with the calf scours outbreak.

(snow & cold) than we are accustomed to. The snowfall depth and

new systems just recently approved by the Beef Reproduction Task Force.
