Livestock producers need a national organization to protect their interests more than ever. New NCBA Chief Executive Officer Forrest Roberts will describe challenges facing the industry during his presentation December 4 at the KLA Convention. From proposed restrictions on antibiotic use in livestock to more strict environmental regulations for ranches and feedyards, Roberts will explain how NCBA is addressing these key issues in a difficult political climate.
Roberts was hired by NCBA earlier this year after spending 16 years in the animal health industry. He grew up on his family’s ranch near Uvalde, TX.
KLA members are encouraged to attend the convention to meet Roberts and hear his presentation, sponsored by Micro Beef Technologies. Registration and hotel information was sent to members last week. Members can save money by sending their registration forms in before November 20. A few rooms remain at convention headquarters, the Wichita Hyatt. For more information, click here.
