Kansas City Weekly Feedstuff Review
Truck bids per ton unless otherwise stated.
Feedstuff prices were mix for the week. Some ingredients found support from
the surge in the grain markets and good demand. Wheat mids saw gains on tight
supplies. Harvest has been sluggish as moisture continues to plague the Midwest
and plains. However, the weather outlook for the next week looks dry for the
corn-belt and farmers hoping to capitalize on it.
Soybean meal, 48 percent was 18.80-23.80 higher from 330.40-346.40 per ton.
Soybean hulls were steady from 93.00-95.00 per ton. Soybean Hull Pellets were
steady from 93.00-100.00 per ton. 41 percent Cottonseed Meal was 5.00 lower
from 275.00-280.00 per ton. Gluten feed pellets were 2.00-10.00 lower from
118.00-122.00 per ton. 60 percent Gluten Meal was 15.00 lower to 10.00 higher
from 640.00-680.00 per ton. Kansas Interior Millfeeds, Rail was 8.009.00 higher
from 109.00-113.00; Trucks were 11.00 higher from 123.00-128.00 per ton. Hominy
Feed (FOB KC Northwest) truck was steady to 5.00 higher from 100.00-105.00 per
ton; rail was steady to 5.00 higher from 95.00-100.00 ton. Meat and Bone Meal
was 10.00 higher at 270.00 per ton. Feather Meal was steady to 10.00 higher
from 585.00-615.00 per ton. Yellow Grease was 50-100 points higher at 20.00
cwt. Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal was steady from 204.00-209.00 per ton; Sun-Cured
15 percent pellets were steady to 1.00 higher from 166.00-183.00 per ton;
Alfalfa Center of NE pellets, 17 percent were steady from 175.00-180.00 per ton;
Meal without oil was steady from 179.00-184.00 per ton; Hay prices were not
available.
