All CME live cattle briefly traded limit-down on sluggish wholesale beef movement and bearish financial and equity market activity. Meanwhile, sharply lower CBOT corn topple deferred cattle months. Oct is 290 points lower at 92.70 cents a pound, and Dec is 300 points lower at 94.77 cents. Feeder cattle at one point also traded limit down across the board on live cattle's limit-plunge, profit-taking and "air" beneath the market. Oct is 227 points lower at 98.40 cents, and Nov is 280 points lower at 98.00 cents. (TWA)
