The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
Oct 27, were mixed this past week. Soybean Meal was mixed, 8.00 lower to 5.70
higher. Cottonseed Meal was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher. Whole Cottonseed
was steady to 20.00 lower. Canola Meal was not available. Linseed Meal was 5.00
to 20.00 higher. Sunflower Meal was 15.00 to 20.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was
mixed, 49 points lower to 51 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was steady. Meat and
Bone Meal was mixed, 15.00 lower to 37.00 higher, mostly steady. Blood Meal was
75.00 higher in California. Feather Meal was steady to 25.00 lower. Fish Meal
was steady to 15.00 higher. Hominy was 5.00 to 21.00 higher. Corn Gluten Feed
was 2.00 to 12.00 higher. Corn Gluten Meal was steady to 20.00 higher mostly
steady to 10.00 higher. Distillers Dried Grains was steady to 10.00 higher.
Wheat Middlings were steady to 15.00 higher.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, Oct 20, the Dec Soybean Meal futures closed 4.90 lower at
287.60; Jan closed 5.30 lower at 281.90. The Dec Soybean Oil futures closed 1
points higher at 37.48 cents per pound and Jan closed 2 points higher at 37.93
cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal in Central Illinois were
4.90 to 7.90 lower from 303.60-314.60; Iowa was 1.10 to 5.10 higher from 302.60-
310.60; Kansas City was .10 to 4.10 higher from 311.60-322.60; Minneapolis was
3.10 to 5.10 higher at 307.60; St. Louis was 3.00 to 8.00 lower from 340.00-
360.00; Memphis was 4.50 to 26.50 higher from 331.80-354.80; Portland was mixed,
5.30 lower to 2.70 higher from 326.90-346.90; BN Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley
was 1.70 to 5.70 higher from 345.90-355.90; Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley
was 3.70 to 4.70 higher from 353.90-355.90. Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San
Joaquin Valley in California had limited trade from 265.00-275.00; Kansas City
was 5.00 to 10.00 lower from 280.00-285.00; St. Louis was steady to 5.00 higher
from 255.00-275.00; Memphis was 250.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San
Joaquin Valley in California was 12.00 to 20.00 lower from 275.00-290.00. Whole
Cottonseed delivered to Portland was steady from 257.00-280.00; Memphis was 2.00
lower at 178.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent
protein, delivered to Portland was not available. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein
was 5.00 to 20.00 higher from 190.00-210.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area.
Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct protein was 15.00 to 20.00 higher from
160.00-180.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central
Illinois was mixed, 49 points lower to 1 point higher from 33.88-34.98 cents per
pound; Iowa was 1 to 51 points higher from 33.98-36.48 cents per pound;
Minnesota was 1 to 26 points higher from 34.48-34.98 cents per pound. Crude
Corn Oil in Central Illinois was steady from 38.00-39.00 cents per pound.
ANIMAL PROTEINS: Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was steady to 12.00
lower from 248.00-270.00; Pork ranged 279.00-310.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle was
270.00; Minneapolis was steady from 270.00-280.00, pork ranged 285.00-295.00;
St. Louis was 10.00 to 37.00 higher from 267.00-280.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged
300.00-310.00; Portland FOB production points was steady from 300.00-310.00; FOB
Central and Northern California was steady to 10.00 lower from 300.00-342.00;
FOB Los Angeles was 10.00 to 15.00 lower from 300.00-310.00. Blood Meal in the
Central U.S. had no quote; Pork ranged 670.00-725.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle
had no quote; delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was 75.00 higher at 700.00.
Feather Meal in Kansas City was steady to 25.00 lower from 575.00-615.00;
Minneapolis was steady from 610.00-625.00; Arkansas was n560.00; Mississippi was
25.00 lower at 560.00. Menhaden Fish Meal was steady to 15.00 higher in the
Gulf Coast at 1025.00 for both FAQ and Select qualities. The East Coast was
also steady to 15.00 higher at 1025.00 for both the FAQ and Select qualities.
There continued to be good export demand for fishmeal. Mixed Fish Meal, 60
percent protein FOB Central San Joaquin Valley was steady with trades at 655.00.
CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was 14.00 to 21.00 higher
from 96.00-102.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was 5.00 higher from 90.00-100.00;
St. Louis was 13.00 to 20.50 higher from 98.00-108.00; rail delivered California
was 16.00 to 17.00 higher from 173.00-176.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest
(IA, IL, IN) was 4.00 to 10.00 higher from 73.00-91.00; Kansas City was 2.00 to
12.00 higher from 120.00-132.00; St. Louis was 8.00 to 10.00 higher from 93.00-
108.00; Memphis had no offers. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the
Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady to 20.00 higher from 585.00-650.00, mostly
600.00-640.00; Kansas City was steady to 15.00 higher from 655.00-670.00; St.
Louis was steady to 10.00 higher from 630.00-650.00; Memphis was 10.00 higher at
610.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt was steady to 8.00
higher from 120.00-140.00; Chicago area was 6.50 to 7.00 higher from 115.00-
122.00; Lawrenceburg, IN was steady at 115.00; Nebraska was 7.00 to 8.00 higher
from 118.00-122.00; Minnesota was 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 110.00-125.00;
Kansas was steady to 5.00 higher from 111.00-125.00; Iowa was 9.00 to 10.00
higher from 110.00-120.00; Northern Missouri was steady at 120.00; St. Louis was
2.00 to 3.00 higher from 117.00-132.00; Wisconsin was steady to 10.00 higher
from 110.00-150.00, mostly 110.00-125.00; rail delivered California 7.00 higher
at 168.00.
WHEAT MILFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY was steady to 5.00 higher from
95.00-105.00; Kansas City was 8.00 higher from 100.00-105.00; Minneapolis was
8.00 to 10.00 higher from 92.00-100.00; St. Louis was 3.00 to 15.00 higher from
88.00-108.00; Memphis was 15.00 higher at 135.00. Wheat Millrun delivered
Portland was steady from 112.00-115.00. Wheat millrun truck delivered FOB
Northern and Central California mills was not available; FOB Los Angeles mill
door was steady to 15.00 higher from 120.00-150.00.
OTHERS: Offers for rice bran was steady to 24.00 higher, mostly steady to 5.00
higher; millfeed was steady to 5.00 higher; hulls were steady to 4.00 higher.
Alfalfa Meal was mostly steady this past week.
