The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
Nov 03, were mixed this past week. Soybean Meal was 13.80 to 31.50 higher.
Cottonseed Meal was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher, mostly 5.00 to 10.00
lower. Whole Cottonseed was mixed, 15.00 lower to 2.00 higher. Canola Meal was
not available. Linseed Meal was 10.00 higher. Sunflower Meal was 5.00 to 10.00
higher. Crude Soybean Oil was 5 to 108 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was 100
points lower. Meat and Bone Meal was steady to 37.00 higher, mostly 5.00 to
15.00 higher. Blood Meal was 75.00 higher in California. Feather Meal was
mostly 20.00 to 40.00 lower. Fish Meal was steady. Hominy was mixed, 8.00
lower to 6.00 higher. Corn Gluten Feed mixed, 10.00 lower to 7.00 higher. Corn
Gluten Meal was mixed, 15.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Distillers Dried Grains was
mixed, 10.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Wheat Middlings were steady to 13.00
higher.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, Nov 03, the Dec Soybean Meal futures closed 18.80 higher
at 306.40; Jan closed 17.60 higher at 299.50. The Dec Soybean Oil futures closed
5 points higher at 37.53 cents per pound and Jan closed 6 points higher at 37.99
cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal in Central Illinois were
20.80 to 26.80 higher from 324.40-341.40; Iowa was 13.80 to 18.80 higher from
321.40-324.40; Kansas City was 18.80 to 23.80 higher from 330.40-346.40;
Minneapolis was 14.80 to 18.80 higher from 322.40-326.40; St. Louis was 4.00 to
8.00 higher from 344.00-368.00; Memphis was 2.90 to 13.90 higher from 345.70-
357.70; Portland was 31.50 to 39.50 higher from 366.4-378.40; BN Santa Fe
delivered Chino Valley was 30.50 to 31.50 higher from 377.40-386.40; Union
Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 22.50 to 30.50 higher from 376.40-386.40.
Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was 9.00 to
10.00 lower from 256.00-265.00; Kansas City was 5.00 lower from 275.00-280.00;
St. Louis was mixed, 5.00 lower to 5.00 higher from 260.00-270.00; Memphis was
steady at 250.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in
California was 9.00 to 15.00 lower from 266.00-275.00. Whole Cottonseed
delivered to Portland was not available; Memphis was 2.00 higher at 180.00.
Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to
Portland was not available. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 10.00 higher from
200.00-220.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber,
28 pct protein was 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 170.00-185.00 in the North Dakota-
Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 15 to 108 points higher
from 34.03-36.06 cents per pound; Iowa was 5 points higher from 34.03-36.53
cents per pound; Minnesota was 5 to 105 points higher from 34.53-36.03 cents per
pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was 100 points lower from 37.00-38.00
cents per pound.
ANIMAL PROTEINS: Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was 15.00 to 37.00
higher at 850.00; Pork ranged 300.00-340.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle had no
quote; Minneapolis was 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 275.00-290.00, pork ranged
310.00-315.00; St. Louis was 5.00 higher from 272.00-285.00 for ruminant; Pork
ranged 310.00-320.00; Portland FOB production points was steady to 5.00 higher
from 305.00-310.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady to 17.00
lower from 300.00-325.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady to 15.00 higher from
300.00-325.00. Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Pork ranged 410.00-
750.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle ranged 700.00-750.00 in early trade; delivered
to the San Joaquin Valley was 75.00 higher at 775.00. Feather Meal in Kansas
City was steady to 10.00 higher from 585.00-615.00; Minneapolis was 25.00 to
40.00 lower from 570.00-600.00; Arkansas was 20.00 lower at 540.00; Mississippi
was 20.00 to 30.00 lower from 530.00-540.00. Menhaden Fish Meal was steady in
the Gulf Coast at 1025.00 for both FAQ and Select qualities. The East Coast was
also steady at 1025.00 for both the FAQ and Select qualities. Mixed Fish Meal,
60 percent protein FOB Central San Joaquin Valley was steady with trades at
655.00.
CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was 4.00 to 6.00 lower from
90.00-98.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was steady to 5.00 higher from 95.00-
100.00; St. Louis was steady from 98.00-108.00; rail delivered California was
4.00 to 8.00 lower from 165.00-172.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL,
IN) was mixed, 1.00 lower to 3.00 higher from 76.00-90.00; Kansas City was 2.00
to 10.00 lower from 118.00-122.00; St. Louis was 2.00 to 7.00 higher from
100.00-110.00; Memphis had no offers. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in
the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 10.00 to 15.00 lower from 570.00-640.00, mostly
575.00-630.00; Kansas City was mixed, 15.00 lower to 10.00 higher from 640.00-
680.00; St. Louis was steady to 10.00 higher from 630.00-660.00; Memphis was
steady at 610.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt was 4.00 to
5.00 lower from 115.00-136.00; Chicago area was 4.00 to 10.00 higher from
125.00-126.00; Lawrenceburg, IN was steady at 115.00; Nebraska was mixed, 3.00
lower to 8.00 higher from 115.00-130.00; Minnesota was 5.00 lower from 105.00-
120.00; Kansas was mixed, 5.00 lower to 9.00 higher at 120.00; Iowa was steady
from 110.00-120.00; Northern Missouri was steady to 2.00 higher from 120.00-
122.00; St. Louis was 6.00 to 7.00 lower from 111.00-125.00; Wisconsin was 5.00
to 25.00 lower from 105.00-125.00, mostly 115.00; rail delivered California 3.00
to 10.00 lower from 158.00-165.00.
WHEAT MILFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY was steady from 95.00-105.00;
Kansas City was 8.00 to 9.00 higher from 109.00-113.00; Minneapolis was 10.00 to
13.00 higher from 105.00-115.00; St. Louis was 7.00 to 12.00 higher from 100.00-
115.00; Memphis was steady at 135.00. Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was
steady to 2.00 higher from 112.00-117.00. Wheat millrun truck delivered FOB
Northern and Central California mills was not available; FOB Los Angeles mill
door was steady from 120.00-150.00.
OTHERS: Offers for rice bran was steady to 5.00 higher; millfeed was steady to
8.00 higher; hulls were steady. Alfalfa Meal was mostly steady this past week.
