The inventory of cattle on feed was 330 thousand head in Oklahoma on April 1, 2009, for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, unchanged from the previous month but down 3 percent from April 1, 2008. Placements during March were 68,000, 36 percent above one year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during March were 66,000, up 14 percent from the same month last year. Other disappearance during March totaled 2,000 head.
