The inventory of cattle on feed was 355 thousand head in Oklahoma on October 1, 2009, for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, up 9 percent from the previous month and up 13 percent from October 1, 2008. Placements during September were 80,000, 33 percent above one year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during September were 48,000, down 2 percent from the same month last year. Other disappearance during September totaled 2,000 head.
