The inventory of cattle on feed was 310 thousand head in Oklahoma on June 1, 2009, for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, down 2 percent from the previous month but up 2 percent from June 1, 2008. Placements during May were 67,000, 12 percent below one year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during May were 71,000, down 5 percent from the same month last year. Other disappearance during May totaled 1,000 head.
