The inventory of cattle on feed was 325 thousand head in Oklahoma on September 1, 2009, for feedlots with capacity of
1,000 or more head, up 5 percent from the previous month and up 7 percent from September 1, 2008. Placements during August were 73,000, 4 percent above one year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during August were 56,000, up 4 percent from the same month last year. Other disappearance during August totaled 2,000 head.
