BANGKOK (Dow Jones)--PTT PCL (PTT.TH), Thailand's largest oil and gas conglomerate by revenue, said Thursday it plans to launch sales of 20% ethanol-blended gasoline at the beginning of next year.
PTT will be the country's first oil company supplying E20, a mix of 20% ethanol and 80% gasoline. It will offer a special price that will be THB6 a liter cheaper than premium gasoline, during January to March, it said in the statement.
Its move is in line with a plan by the Energy Ministry to promote the use of alternative energy to reduce crude oil imports.
