Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/06/09
Receipts: 4,831 Last Week: 2,706 Year Ago: 3,264
Compared to last Friday: Steer calves under 650 lbs sold steady to 2.00
higher; offerings over 650 lbs sold steady to 2.00 lower in a light test.
Heifer calves sold unevenly steady to 2.00 higher. Feeding cows sold steady
to 2.00 higher with full advance on Heiferettes to Young cows. Slaughter cows
sold mostly steady, instances 1.00-2.00 lower on Lean cows. Slaughter bulls
sold steady to 2.00 higher. Demand moderate to good. Feeder cattle and
calves made up 75 percent; 15 percent slaughter cows and bulls with the
balance feeding cows and misc. cattle. In the feeder cattle supply, 54
percent were steers and 46 percent heifers with 32 percent weighing over 600
lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: 330-400 lbs 119.50-128.00; 400-450 lbs
123.50-129.50; 450-500 lbs 106.50-115.00; 500-550 lbs 101.00-108.00; 550-600
lbs 95.00-103.50; 600-650 lb calves 92.75-100.25; 650-700 lb calves 88.00-
94.00; 700-720 lb calves 85.00-87.00; 818 lb calves 84.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1: 375-400 lbs 101.00-107.50; 400-500
lbs 93.50-103.75; 500-600 lbs 84.50-95.50, fancy 98.00; 600-700 lb calves
83.00-90.00; 756 lbs full 78.50; 883 lbs 87.10; 915-930 lbs 84.50-86.35.
