A report from the American Meat Institute Foundation (AMIF) indicates the prevalence of E. coli O157:H7 and infections stemming from the bacteria have declined dramatically. Since 2000, E. coli incidence in fresh ground beef products has declined 45% to less than .5%.

KLA member Melvin Schooler has reported 10 cows and calves stolen from a pasture northeast of Logan in Phillips County . The cattle all are Angus, with the cows branded dot over lazy S on the left hip.
