SC Farm Report on Tuesday
   Cattle at SC auctions on Monday. Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-
500 lbs 85.00-113.00; 500-600 lbs 78.00-90.00. Feeder bulls: 400-500 lbs 82.00-
103.00; 500-600 lbs 74.00-85.00. Feeder heifers: 400-500 lbs 74.00-89.00; 500-
600 lbs 70.00-84.00. Slaughter cows: Boners 80-85% 43.00-48.50; Lean 85-90% 
38.50-44.50, low dressing 33.50-41.00. Cow/Calf Pairs: Small and Medium 1-2 700-
1085 lbs young to middle age cow with 125-270 lbs calves 550.00-785.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Monday. Plant delivered weighted average. Eastern direct Barrows & 
Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 39.28 down 0.34. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 
31.72, 450-500 lbs 34.10, 500-550 lbs 35.76.
  SC Grain on Tuesday. Corn was 8 cents higher, processor bids 4.15-4.40.  
Soybeans were 4 to 13 cents higher, processor bids 10.02-10.16.  Wheat bids were 
limited, one elevator bid 3.46.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 was 64.70, down 0.18.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State Farmers 
Market on Wednesday. Cabbage 50 lb ctns round green type 10.00; Chestnuts 1/2 
bubskt 35.00; Cucumbers bucrts Pickles sml-med 28.00, 1 1/9 buctns Long Green 
Sel/sml 10.00-17.00; Eggplant 1 1/9 buctns Med 15.00; Greens dz bchs 
Collards/Turnips/Mustard 16.00-18.00, 1 1/9 buctns Kale 12.00; Onions, green 2
