Broiler/Fryer: Daily Western Region Report Broiler/Fryer
Final majorities were 1 cent lower from last Monday. Offerings adequate to
ample. The market tones on whole brolier/fryers and WOGs were barely
steady to weak. Retail demand improved for first of the month business to
moderate to good, food service demand moderate. Floor stocks adequate to
fully adequate. Weights desirable. Parts trading was noted on boneless
skinless breasts at 127-139, bone-in breasts 78-102, leg quarters 44-59,
wings 110-137, fresh thigh meat 103-115, The Los Angeles negotiated WOG
weighted average was down 8.75 cents to 66.81 cents with a volume of 39
loads.
