Seaboard Farms' is ranked # 3 in hog production.

Leading exporter of fresh pork to Japan, Mexico and Korea.

Seaboard Farms' Pork Division offers a full line of fresh and value-added pork products serving markets in the United States, with exports primarily to Japan, Mexico and Korea. This division has grown from a start-up operation in the early 1990's to rank as one of the nation's top ten pork producers and processors in each of the last three years. This growth has been achieved primarily through aggressive sales efforts and the construction of new facilities designed and located to maximize the benefits of Seaboard's vertically integrated operating strategy.

Seaboard Farms' production facilities consist of genetic and commercial breeding, farrowing, nursery and finishing buildings located in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Colorado, supported by six centrally located feed mills. This region offers many benefits for hog production including large unpopulated tracts of land, proximity to abundant sources of corn and milo, and a dry temperate climate ideal for animal health and feed conversion. Current operations produce more than three million hogs annually, approximately three-fourths of the total number processed by Seaboard Farms on an annual basis.

Seaboard Farms' state-of-the-art processing facility in Guymon, Oklahoma, opened in 1995. The plant has operated at full capacity since 1997, allowing Seaboard Farms to process approximately four and one half million hogs annually. The technology and safety features of this facility allow Seaboard Farms to deliver safe, high quality products meeting exact customer specifications. Technology and safety features at the plant are kept current through a program of continuous process and facility enhancements.

Seaboard Farms' vertically integrated system provides a number of strategic advantages relative to other companies in the industry. In depth research and strict control of genetics help increase consistency, leanness and other important quality factors. Genetic farms, farrowing units, nurseries and finishing sites are strategically located to optimize management, health, and nutrition. Feed is specially formulated and manufactured in Seaboard Farms' feed mills and strict bio-security and environmental protection procedures safeguard quality, safety and the environment throughout the production cycle.
