Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review for Tuesday
Thus far Tuesday, beef type steer and heifer trading was limited in the Texas Panhandle
and inactive in Kansas and the Northern Plains. Trading was slow on light demand in
the Western Cornbelt. Not enough sales to establish a market in all feeding regions.
Last week live sales sold from 87.00 to mostly 88.00 in the Texas Panhandle. Live
sales sold from 87.00 to 87.50 in Kansas and dressed sales at 139.00. In Nebraska
live sales sold from 86.00 to 87.00 and dressed sales at 135.00. In Colorado live
sales sold from 86.00 to 88.00 and dressed sales at 136.00 on a light test. In the
Western Cornbelt live sales sold from 83.00 to 84.00 and dressed sales from 132.00 to
135.00.
