Net sales of 443,600 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were mainly for Iraq (300,000 MT), Nigeria (84,000 MT), Cuba (25,000 MT), and South Korea (18,000 MT). Exports of 600,100 MT were 5 percent below the previous week, but 16 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Egypt (120,800 MT), Japan (91,200 MT), the Philippines (89,700 MT), Mexico (84,200 MT), Thailand (42,300 MT), and Nigeria (31,800 MT).
Corn: Net sales of 547,200 MT were 62 percent above the previous week, but 14 percent under the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for Japan (215,900 MT), Mexico (115,600 MT, including 17,200 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (70,200 MT), unknown destinations (53,800 MT), and Canada (50,500 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Guatemala (29,100 MT) and South Korea (9,500 MT). Net sales of 139,300 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were mainly for Japan (56,900 MT), unknown destinations (54,000 MT), and Mexico (26,900 MT). Exports of 994,900 MT were 6 percent above the previous week, but 4 percent under the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (349,200 MT), Mexico (249,500 MT), South Korea (233,400 MT), Colombia (52,200 MT), Costa Rica (31,500 MT), and Canada (30,700 MT).
Barley: Net sales of 2,500 MT were reported for Canada (1,700 MT) and Japan (800 MT). There were no exports reported this week.
Sorghum: Net sales of 56,200 MT were 11 percent above the previous week, but 23 percent below the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for unknown destinations (35,000 MT), Mexico (33,900 MT), Japan (6,600 MT), and the Netherlands (5,800 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Italy (25,000 MT). Exports of 113,000 MT were two and seven-tenths times the previous week and 16 percent above the prior 4-week average. The destinations were the Netherlands (68,800 MT), Mexico (26,000 MT), Japan (18,200 MT), and Canada (100 MT).
Rice: Net sales of 84,000 MT were 18 percent below the previous week and 13 percent under the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (43,600 MT), Jamaica (9,200 MT), Honduras (7,400 MT), Haiti (6,300 MT), Turkey (5,300 MT), and the United Kingdom (5,200 MT). Exports of 84,200 were 14 percent below the previous week, but 8 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Turkey (42,200 MT), Japan (13,200 MT), Haiti (11,400 MT), and Mexico (9,800 MT).
Soybeans: Net sales of 201,400 MT were four and nine-tenths times last week’s marketing-year low, but down 33 percent from the prior 4-week average. Soybean Cake and Meal:Net sales of 115,600 MT were 5 percent below the previous week and 7 percent under the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 458,200 pieces were mainly for China (223,100 pieces), South Korea (110,200 pieces), Mexico (36,500 pieces), Thailand (27,500 pieces), and Vietnam (22,400 pieces). Exports of 534,300 pieces were down 13 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 518,400 pieces were primary to China (194,200 pieces), South Korea (150,700 pieces), Hong Kong (42,400 pieces), Taiwan (30,500 pieces), and Mexico (25,800 pieces).

Net sales of splits totaling 453,300 pounds resulted as increases for China (777,500 pounds, including 792,000 pounds switched from Vietnam) and Hong Kong (485,200 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for Vietnam (792,000 pounds), Indonesia (10,900 pounds), and Turkey (6,500 pounds). Exports of 1,722,800 pounds--a marketing-year high--were up 26 percent from the previous week and 69 percent from the prior 4-week average.
