Wheat: Net sales of 362,400 metric tons were down 12 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for the Philippines (98,600 MT), Nigeria (83,500 MT, including 27,700 MT switched from unknown destinations), Taiwan (67,500 MT), Japan (35,100 MT), Costa Rica (27,500 MT, including 27,000 MT switched from Guatemala), Mexico (23,400 MT), Colombia (21,000 MT), Italy (20,000 MT), and Morocco (18,000 MT, switched from Canada). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (65,100 MT), Guatemala (27,000 MT), and Canada (17,700 MT). Exports of 486,900 MT were up 7 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Nigeria (107,300 MT), Japan (71,600 MT), Taiwan (57,100 MT), the Philippines (40,600 MT), Mexico (38,500 MT), and South Korea (35,400 MT).
Corn: Net sales of 352,900 MT were down 28 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Japan (187,200 MT), Mexico (30,500 MT), Saudi Arabia (30,300 MT, including 28,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (25,300 MT), the Dominican Republic (25,000 MT), Taiwan (19,800 MT), and Jordan (16,900 MT, including 16,000 MT switched from unknown destinations). Decreases were reported for Guatemala (32,800 MT), South Korea (6,800 MT), and Canada (1,200 MT). Exports of 683,200 MT were down 10 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (221,200 MT), Mexico (141,600 MT), South Korea (114,600 MT), Venezuela (53,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (30,300 MT), Canada (28,900 MT), and Jordan (16,900 MT).
Barley: Net sales of 500 MT were for Canada. Exports of 700 MT were to Canada.
Sorghum: Net sales of 72,000 MT were mainly for Mexico (55,700 MT) and unknown destinations (16,300 MT). Exports of 50,800 MT were to Mexico.
Rice: Net sales of 26,000 MT--a marketing-year low--were down 82 percent from the previous week and 65 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (16,500 MT, including decreases of 61,100 MT), Canada (3,900 MT), Honduras (2,900 MT), Taiwan (1,700 MT), and South Korea (1,100 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (3,000 MT), Syria (800 MT), and El Salvador (500 MT). Exports of 33,400 MT were down 50 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (8,900 MT), Taiwan (5,300 MT), Guatemala (3,900 MT), Honduras (3,700 MT), and Canada (2,000 MT).
Soybeans: Net sales of 1,349,700 MT were up 6 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (724,700 MT, including 116,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (142,200 MT), Indonesia (93,000 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Egypt (88,900 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Taiwan (86,100 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Iran (64,800 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations). Exports of 1,724,200 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 5 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (914,500 MT), Taiwan (146,700 MT), Mexico (132,300 MT), Indonesia (92,100 MT), Egypt (86,900 MT), and Thailand (70,600 MT).
Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 357,500 MT were up 60 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (100,800 MT), Indonesia (72,100 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (57,800 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Canada (48,000 MT), Ecuador (25,100 MT, including 24,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Cuba (20,000 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (75,000 MT) and Guatemala (11,900 MT). Net sales of 10,300 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were for Mexico (7,500 MT) and Canada (2,800 MT). Exports of 309,300 MT were up 72 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Indonesia (65,200 MT), South Korea (57,800 MT), the Philippines (29,000 MT), Mexico (28,400 MT), Ecuador (25,100 MT), and Canada (22,500 MT).
Soybean Oil: Net sales of 12,400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Hong Kong (4,000 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Peru (2,500 MT), and India (2,000 MT). Decreases were reported for Colombia (5,700 MT) and Haiti (500 MT). Exports of 16,800 MT were down 39 percent from the previous week and 63 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were the Dominican Republic (10,000 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Mexico (2,300 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).
Cotton: Net Upland sales of 235,700 running bales were up noticeably from the previous week and the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for China (129,100 RB, including 1,400 RB switched from South Korea), Turkey (29,100 RB), Thailand (14,500 RB, including 500 RB switched from Japan), Taiwan (11,700 RB, including 900 RB switched from Indonesia), and Bangladesh (10,800 RB). Decreases were reported for El Salvador (1,700 RB) and South Korea (900 RB). Exports of 91,200 RB--a marketing-year low--were down 37 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (28,100 RB), Turkey (16,900 RB), China (11,100 RB), Vietnam (7,400 RB), Thailand (4,900 RB), and Colombia (4,200 RB). Net American Pima sales of 32,400 RB were down 4 percent from the previous week. Increases were primarily for China (27,000 RB), Peru (2,000 RB), India (1,000 RB), and Pakistan (900 RB). Exports 33,100 RB--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (21,600 RB), India (4,900 RB), and Pakistan (3,900 RB).
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 640,500 pieces, were up 74 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 635,200 pieces were primary for China (296,100 pieces), South Korea (163,300 pieces), Vietnam (50,100 pieces), Taiwan (37,800 pieces), and Thailand (24,400 pieces). Exports of 589,400 pieces were up 40 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 573,300 pieces were primarily to China (311,000 pieces), South Korea (93,500 pieces), Taiwan (55,000 pieces), Mexico (30,400 pieces), Thailand (21,200 pieces), and Vietnam (17,000 pieces).
Net sales of 126,200 wet blues were down 61 percent from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (74,700 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (25,600 unsplit), Taiwan (20,700 unsplit and 2,100 grain splits), and Mexico (15,000 grain splits and 5,700 unsplit). Exports of 161,700 hides were up 30 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (48,600 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), Italy (45,200 unsplit and 5,800 grain splits), Mexico (16,600 grain split and 2,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (14,900 unsplit). Net sales of 8,000 unsplit for delivery in 2010 were for Italy. Net sales reductions of splits totaling 107,400 pounds were for Taiwan (100,000 pounds) and Italy (7,400 pounds). Exports of 495,800 pounds were down 14 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were China (360,000 pounds), Italy (85,800 pounds), and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).
Beef: Net sales of 9,100 MT were primarily for Mexico (1,800 MT), Japan (1,700 MT), Canada (1,700 MT), South Korea (1,400 MT), Vietnam (1,200 MT), and Taiwan (700 MT). Net sales of 2,900 MT for delivery in 2010 were mainly for Hong Kong (1,800 MT), South Korea (600 MT), Taiwan (400 MT), and the Philippines (100 MT). Exports of 10,600 MT were mainly to Mexico (3,100 MT), Canada (1,700 MT), Japan (1,500 MT), Vietnam (1,500 MT), and South Korea (1,300 MT).
