Wheat: Net sales of 508,800 metric tons were 20 percent above the previous week and 79 percent over the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for Japan (138,200 MT), Mexico (81,900 MT), Thailand (80,500 MT), Indonesia (60,600 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (52,100 MT), South Korea (50,600 MT), Yemen (50,000 MT), and Israel (47,700 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (130,700 MT), Cuba (25,000 MT), and the Netherlands (8,900 MT). Net sales of 80,000 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were for the Philippines (75,000 MT) and unknown destinations (5,000 MT). Exports of 623,900 MT were 26 percent above the previous week and 19 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Iraq (102,100 MT), South Korea (86,600 MT), Indonesia (66,400 MT), the Philippines (65,500 MT), Peru (50,800 MT), Japan (46,400 MT), and Guatemala (35,100 MT).

Corn: Net sales of 1,887,600 metric tons were 18 percent above the previous week and 43 percent over the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for South Korea (711,700 MT), Japan (290,100 MT), Mexico (199,500 MT), unknown destinations (153,900 MT), Morocco (111,200 MT, including 85,600 MT switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (77,500 MT), and Egypt (63,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from Iran), were partially offset by decreases for Iran (55,000 MT). Exports of 1,491,300 MT were 12 percent above the previous week and 22 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (375,500 MT), South Korea (258,200 MT), Mexico (201,600 MT), Morocco (86,200 MT), Iran (65,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (61,500 MT), and Ecuador (56,300 MT).

Barley: Net sales of 500 MT were for Taiwan. Exports of 1,500 MT were to Canada (1,100 MT) and Taiwan (400 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 66,800 MT were 42 percent above the previous week and two and three-tenths times the prior 4-week average. Increases for Belgium (36,200 MT, including 35,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Germany (29,000 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from Spain and decreases of 1,000 MT), Italy (23,000 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,100 MT), and Japan (22,700 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Spain (28,500 MT) and unknown destinations (22,000 MT). Exports of 147,200 MT were 25 percent below the previous week and 10 percent under the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Belgium (36,200 MT), Spain (31,500 MT), Germany (29,000 MT), and Japan (26,800 MT).

Rice: Net sales of 140,400 MT were more than two and three-quarters times the previous week and double the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were Mexico (71,000 MT), Turkey (21,100 MT), Haiti (18,400 MT), Liberia (11,400 MT), and Jordan (6,300 MT). Exports of 60,800 MT were 32 percent above the previous week, but 12 percent under the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Cote D’Ivoire (15,000 MT), Mexico (12,100 MT), the Philippines (10,500 MT), Haiti (7,400 MT), Guatemala (5,300 MT), El Salvador (3,200 MT), and South Korea (2,100 MT).

Soybeans: Net sales of 488,000 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases for China (149,000 MT), unknown destinations (105,400 MT), Mexico (68,600 MT), and Spain (66,100 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for France (27,300 MT). Net sales of 116,500 MT for delivery in 2008/09 were mainly for Belgium (55,000 MT) and Spain (55,000 MT). Exports of 732,300 MT were down 27 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (320,200 MT), Mexico (77,100 MT), Egypt (73,700 MT), Spain (66,100 MT), Japan (53,100 MT), and Syria (37,200 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:Net sales of 225,800 MT were 39 percent above the previous week and two and one-third times the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for the Philippines (83,000 MT), Mexico (44,100 MT), Ireland (25,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (24,000 MT), and Japan (19,600 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (22,000 MT), Egypt (3,300 MT), El Salvador (2,800 MT), and Guatemala (2,500 MT). Exports of 136,700 MT were 9 percent over the previous week, but 11 percent below the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (45,900 MT), Canada (26,700 MT), Venezuela (16,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (11,000 MT), and Honduras (11,000 MT).

Soybean Oil: Net sales of 97,800 MT were primarily for China (30,000 MT), unknown destinations (24,500 MT), Tunisia (11,000 MT), Morocco (10,000 MT), and Algeria (6,000 MT). Exports of 7,300 MT were mainly to Jamaica (4,100 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), Canada (900 MT), and the Dominican Republic (400 MT).

Cotton: Net Upland sales of 291,400 running bales were two and seven-tenths times the previous week, and 59 percent above the prior 4-week average. The primary buyers were China (140,800 RB), Taiwan (29,600 RB), Vietnam (21,400 RB), Thailand (19,600 RB), and Peru (18,100 RB). Net Upland sales of 5,300 RB for delivery in marketing year 2008/09 were for South Korea. Exports of 185,800 RB were up 18 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (34,400 RB), China (33,100 RB), Turkey (27,400 RB), Indonesia (25,300 RB), Thailand (22,000 RB), and Bangladesh (5,900 RB). Net American Pima sales of 15,600 RB were primarily for India (5,400 RB), Pakistan (4,100 RB), Bangladesh (1,800 RB), and Indonesia (1,400 RB). Exports of 25,400 RB were primarily to India (8,200 RB), Pakistan (4,500 RB), China (2,000 RB), and Switzerland (1,800 RB).

Hides and Skins: Net sales of 432,300 pieces were down 35 percent from the previous week. Whole cattle hide sales of 422,900 pieces were mainly for South Korea (167,300 pieces), China (132,300 pieces), Mexico (33,700 pieces), Taiwan (28,100 pieces), and Vietnam (24,000 pieces). Exports of 516,600 pieces were up 1 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 504,900 pieces were mainly to China (271,400 pieces), South Korea (120,600 pieces), Mexico (36,500 pieces), Hong Kong (17,600 pieces), and Japan (17,100 pieces).

Net sales of 161,800 wet blues were up 4 percent from the previous week. Increases were mainly for China (58,800 unsplit and 2,400 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (16,700 grain splits and 10,000 unsplit), South Korea (15,200 unsplit), Mexico (12,800 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), and Hong Kong (11,700 unsplit). Exports of 142,600 hides were down 8 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Italy (36,400 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), China (26,200 unsplit and 1,400 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (14,300 grain splits and 5,200 unsplit), Mexico (12,900 grain splits and 3,000 unsplit), and Vietnam (9,300 unsplit). Net sales of splits totaling 2,006,100 pounds resulted as increases for Italy (2,025,000 pounds) and South Korea (41,700 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for Hong Kong (60,600 pounds). Exports of 930,100 pounds were down 42 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were South Korea (446,700 pounds), Hong Kong (248,400 pounds), Italy (135,000 pounds), and Taiwan (100,000 pounds).

Beef: Net sales of 30,100 MT were primarily for Mexico (26,800 MT), Japan (1,300 MT), Canada (900 MT), Taiwan (300 MT), and the Netherlands (300 MT). Exports of 8,700 MT were mainly to Mexico (4,300 MT), Vietnam (1,500 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), and Japan (700 MT).
