Weekly Utah Hay Market Report
Utah Hay prices continue steady to weak, with slow trade. Trading was very slow on Dairy
quality hay, with many purchases as needed. Lower quality hay demand is very light, on
moderate supplies. Confirmed sales 3,500 tons. Cube prices steady on top quality export
cubes. Trade slow with demand soft on top quality export cubes. Confirmed sales 1,500 tons.
Guidelines for Alfalfa Hay: Visual exam and intent of sale; Relative Feed Value (RFV);
Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF); Crude Protein (CP). USDA Grades are based on 100% Dry
Matter Content. All prices are in dollars per ton, FOB at stack, unless otherwise noted.
Bales large and small. Cubes all sales FOB slab, unless noted.
