The Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine is offering “Colostrum Management for Dairy Calves: You Mean There’s Something New?”, a Webinar for veterinarians on April 13. This $50 course offers 1 CE hour of credit.
“We have known about the importance of colostrum for dairy calves for over 50 years,” says Dale Moore, DVM, MPVM, PhD, Washington State University. “And, our clients understand the importance as well. So, why do we still see failure of transfer of passive immunity? What’s new that would help my clients either with their colostrum management processes or with motivating calf care-takers about their role in neonatal calf health?”
What the webinar will focus on is research that you may not have heard of with regard to colostrum for dairy calves and some updates on colostrum supplements and replacers. In addition, services you can offer clients to help them provide colostrum to calves in a consistent manner will be discussed.
