The Michigan Veterinary Medical Association will hold an animal welfare conference Nov. 21 at the MSU Pavilion, East Lansing, Mich.
Titled “Working together for animal welfare”, the conference will be held in conjunction with the 11th Annual Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging and Assessment Contest sponsored by the Animal Behavior and Welfare Group, Department of Animal Science, MSU and MSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Temple Grandin. The conference will focus on how veterinarians work together with producers and others for humane treatment of animals at every stage of life. A variety of issues faced by companion animal, large animal, lab animal and other veterinarians will be examined.
