KTRE reports $18,000 in cattle were stolen from the Livestock Exhange in Nacogdoches, Texas the night before its sale day.

Sheriff’s officials said the thief stole 20 cattle sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday night and 6 a.m. Thursday morning. Sheriff Thomas Kerss suspects the thief used a 28 to 30-foot gooseneck trailer to load the livestock.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is assisting the local Sheriff’s office with the investigation.
