Mark your calendars for March 25, a day to celebrate and honor America’s hardworking agricultural producers.
According to a report by The Leaf-Chronicle, the USDA Farm Service Agency is asking everyone to appreciate and thank the nation’s farmers and ranchers. This year’s theme is "Agriculture: 365 Sunrises and 7 Billion Mouths to Feed."
"We recognize the importance of agriculture and hope that the recent passage of a new Farm Bill is a sign that 2014 will be a 'banner year for the industry," USDA Tennessee FSA Executive Director Gene Davidson said. “There is no better way to show our support for farmers and ranchers than to begin implementing a new Farm Bill - legislation that will provide farmers, ranchers and consumers alike supportive results."
Ag Day is a project of the Agricultural Council of America and falls during the National Ag Week. Click the video or here to learn more.
