At the Beef Quality Assurance Stockmanship & Stewardship Tour, which was held on Friday and Saturday, Temple Grandin, animal scientist and Colorado State University professor, taught students at the university about animal handling.
Grandin gave tips on reducing stress and improving animal performance. Also, beef cattle handling expert Curt Pate led a cattle handling clinic, along with training sessions.
Colorado Beef Quality Assurance and CSU’s Department of Animal Sciences hosted the event, which several animal science majors attended.
