A New Zealand cow has given birth to her 23 calf. Rangitihi Garths Susan, referred to as “White 10” due to her ear tag, was supposed to be headed for slaughter at one time, but now, at 25-years-old, she has given birth to Houto Tui, a heifer calf.

White 10 was born in 1989 and was first bred at two-years-old, Annette Lambly reported for Dargaville News. Her owner, Nina Walker, bought her at a price fit for a mature cow.

"She has got great breeding. Being a pedigree her genetics can be traced back to one of the early bulls imported into New Zealand - very few lines can be traced back this far," Walker told Lambly.
