A cattle farmer is forced to search for new feed options for the rest of the year after a fire burned his barn containing 200 thousand pounds of top quality hay.
The Wednesday morning barn fire was not an accident. Stan Savage is offering a reward of up to $10,000 to catch the arsonist who set the fire on his property.
In addition to losing a high-quality feed option, wet weather leaves this year’s hay in poor condition which will force Savage to supplement the feed with an additional protein source.
WALB reports the hay lost in the fire is valued at about $100,000.
