Gold Standard Labs has added three marketing and laboratory specialists to its staff, bringing new expertise to continue improving animal health diagnostic services for veterinarians, cattlemen and dairy producers.

Ron Hinrichsen has been named national sales manager to help producers use bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) persistent infection (PI) testing to earn a $14 per head premium for BVD-PI-free calves. With deep, foundational knowledge of animal health gained from more than 16 years of sales experience with Merck Animal Health, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health and MWI Veterinary Supply, Hinrichsen will help communicate return on investment for the company’s diagnostic services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Kansas State University. Currently president of the Kansas Angus Association and the Kansas State Fair Board, and a director of the Kansas Rural Communities Foundation, Hinrichsen is active with his family’s seedstock operation and is a member of the American Angus Association.
