The Brownback administration will hold a “Governor’s Economic Summit on Animal Health” tomorrow (6/9) in Manhattan. Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and his staff will use the results of the summit to develop a strategy that furthers the state’s reputation as an international leader in animal health, safety and research.
Regional stakeholders and policy makers will make presentations on animal health topics in the morning. The summit will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kansas Farm Bureau headquarters. Due to space constraints, Kansans are encouraged to listen online at www.ustream.tv/channel/animalhealthsummit.
This will be the fourth in a series of summits meant to address job creation and the Kansas economy. A summit on animal agriculture will take place later this year.
