Missouri State University’s School of Agriculture now has student-raised beef for sale at local grocery stores in Springfield, Mo.

The students studying agricultural business help raise cattle at the university’s Journagan ranch near Mountain Grove and on a smaller farm near Fair Grove, according to a news release.

The university has developed a deal with Horrmann Meat Farmers Market and Hy-Vee grocery store on West Battlefield Road to sell the students’ meat in support of the school’s farm-to-table initiative.

All the profits from the students’ beef goes back to the School of Agriculture so students can continue to learn about beef production.
