Farmers in North Dakota have two different agriculture programs that they can sign up for soon.
From Oct. 6 to Feb. 27, farmers can update their base acres and program yields. Then from Nov. 17 to March 31, they can enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs. The farmers' selections will stay in effect through 2018, The Bismarck Tribune reported.
In mid-April of 2015, the final stage begins. At this time, producers will be able to sign contracts to be in one of the two prgrams for the 2014 and 2015 crop years. They have until the summer of 2015 to do so.
The program information can be found at www.fsa.usda.gov.
