Oklahoma Cattle on Feed down 5 percent

The Oklahoma inventory of cattle on feed for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, totaled 305 thousand head on April 1, 2013, unchanged from the previous month but down 5 percent from the April 1, 2012 level.

Placements during March were 55 thousand head, down 2 percent from a year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during March were 53 thousand head, down 28 percent from 2012. Other disappearance during March totaled 2 thousand head.
