Rewards offered for calves stolen in Finney County

Calves stolen off the cows in northern Finney County have prompted KLA to offer a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the theft. The cattle belong to Duane Schneider, a KLA member who lives in Wyoming. Schneider said the calves were discovered missing September 30 from a pasture three miles south of the Lane County line. Last seen September 25, the 400 lb. steer and/or heifer calves were branded with a double milliron on the right hip. The calves also had numbered yellow tags in either ear at the time of the theft.

In addition to KLA’s reward, Schneider is offering $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those committing the crime. Anyone with information on the calves or those involved in the theft should call Dan Bahm, Schneider’s business partner, at (620) 874-0235.
