Fort Worth, Texas – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $2,000 per year to students interested in pursuing a degree within the field of agriculture.
High school seniors and students currently enrolled at an accredited university in Texas or Oklahoma are eligible to apply.
Students from a family involved in the ranching or farming industry can also apply for the Mary & Leonard Stiles Scholarship. This $5,250 scholarship is a 1-year award for a graduating high school senior with financial need. Recipients may apply for the scholarship for a total of 4 years as long as requirements of the scholarship are met.
Applications for both scholarships are due January 31 and may be found at cattleraisersmuseum.org. Applicants can also contact ksmith@cowgirl.net for an application.
Scholarships will be awarded in March 2013, and recipients will be recognized during the TSCRA Annual Convention in Fort Worth, Texas.
