A cattle producer in Southwest Missouri is warning neighboring farms of rustling after 22 of her 29 calves were stolen last weekend.

Maria Wagner noticed her animals missing Saturday morning in Newton County, Mo. while she was planting seed. The calves are worth about $15,000.

Wagner and her neighbors Larry and Jodi Schlup, who had cattle stolen from them on two occasions, have told other cattle producers in the area to take extra precautions and vary feeding habits to deter thieves.

KSN reports Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies continue to investigate the situation.
