U.S. beef export sales continue to decline, dropping 18 percent from the 8 percent decrease in the previous week. The 13,300 metric tons shipment moves the 4-week average down 6 percent and settles the 27-week average at 13,500 MT.

Leading purchasers went to Japan (3,300 MT), Mexico (3,200 MT), South Korea, (3,000 MT) and Hong Kong (2,400 MT).

U.S. beef shipments were down 20 percent from the previous week after hitting a record high of 14,600 MT. The 11,600 MT shipment dropped below the prior 4-week average.

Shipments were primarily to Japan (3,100 MT), Hong Kong (2,400 MT), Mexico (2,000 MT), South Korea (1,800 MT) and Taiwan (800 MT).
