New Easter Traditions
This Easter while the kids are visiting Peter Cottontail and hunting for colorful eggs, why not pop a roast in the oven? Not just any roast will do though. Impress your family and friends with a new tradition and a beautiful beef roast.
Although roasting may require a bit more time, it really is a simple method because it requires little attention. And the flavor you get from that beef roast is distinctly different than any other cooking method. So break away from the mold and serve one of these roast recipes from the beef checkoff:

Later this month, your beef checkoff will visit the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) annual meeting and trade show in Kansas City, Mo., to share beef checkoff information with dairy producers.

Media increasingly are suggesting that consumers have a “meatless meal” once each week for nutrition and/or environmental health reasons. With a slew of such Meatless Meals/Meatless Mondays recommendations out there, the beef checkoff is developing response materials. These “Good for you, good for the planet” messages reinforce beef’s role in a healthy diet; in addition, information about the environmental sustainability commitment of cattle farmers and ranchers will be prominent throughout the materials. Materials including the “Don’t Miss Out On the Benefits of Naturally Nutrient-Rich Lean Beef” fact sheet, available on BeefNutrition.org, can help combat myths about meatless meals.
