KBTX reports victims of cattle theft will explain to a judge how their livelihood is affected at the sentencing of a Huntsville, Texas man who plead guilty to four counts of cattle theft.
Michael Scott Kimich will be sentenced in late May or early June for stealing eight or more cattle on at least four separate occasions between July and December of 2008. Attorneys were unable to reach a plea agreement, sending the case to trial by judge or jury.
The case will include victim impact information where all of the victims will testify about the impact of livestock theft on their farms. The victims have all known Kimich for much of his life and he had worked for several of them at one time.
