On Tuesday, April 3, the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) will host a roundtable discussion at its Denver headquarters with Ambassador Isi Siddiqui (pronounced IZZY SU-DEE-KEY), the chief agriculture trade negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Ambassador Siddiqui will be meeting with 15 to 20 leaders of state and national agricultural organizations to discuss President Obama’s National Export Initiative and other critical ag trade issues.
Thad Lively, USMEF senior vice president for trade access, explains the objectives of the roundtable discussion and why this is an important opportunity for agricultural leaders to meet with one of USTR’s key negotiators.
