Washington State University has developed its own custom beef brand to teach students to market cattle grown at the WSU Beef Center.
The custom brand, WSU Premium Beef, is made from only the best of the best cattle raised by staff and animal science students at the university. The beef is harvested at the USDA inspected WSU Meats Laboratory.
As the university project develops, the branded beef may appear in local restaurants
The Associated Press reports WSU Premium Beef offers both Angus and Wagyu beef in whole, half and quarter sizes and in box cuts.
Washington State University also has its own branded Cougar cheese and Ferdinand’s ice cream.
