In an effort to provide the public and members of the media insight into conservation and environmental stewardship practices on ranches, the Natural Resource Conservation Service is sponsoring  Conservation Workshops. The Colorado Conservation Workshop is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2004, at Frasier Farms in Woodrow, Colorado, winner of the Colorado Environmental Stewardship Award. The families will be demonstrating the innovative practices they have implemented, and officials from the NRCS will be available to discuss participation in the Farm Bill Cost Share programs.

Due to inclement weather, NCBA Conservation Workshop scheduled for Sept. 9, 2004 at Llangollen Farms in Upperville, Va., has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004. The Virginia winners of the Environmental Stewardship Award Program will be hosting this on-farm conservation workshop experience.

All media, producers, and the public are welcome to attend, and lunch will be provided. Please contact Megan Tipton if you would like to attend, at mtipton@beef.org or 202-347-0228
