KLA is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of thieves who stole 24 mostly black feeder steers from an association member near Longford. Don Van Scoyoc reported the 750 lb. steers were stolen from his feedyard between March 10 and March 30.

The reward is being offered because Van Scoyoc is a KLA member. Anyone with information about this crime should contact Van Scoyoc at (785) 388-2418 or the Clay County Sheriff at (785) 632-5601.

KLA’s reward applies to cases involving livestock that are stolen, killed or seriously injured. It also applies to stolen livestock equipment, tack or pharmaceuticals. The final amount of the reward is determined by the KLA Board of Directors.
